Washington state will be blue anyway, but I've got my Kamala sign out front, I gave money (annoyingly leading to 10 texts and emails per day asking for more money), and I volunteered to register voters. I'll do a letter-writing campaign to swing states as well. This is the first time I've felt motivated to do anything besides vote myself. What you're doing is quite inspiring!

Can I bring my kids to Durham so I can have childcare while canvassing? I have 2 sets of local grandparents to care for my kids but due to current health issues with MY grandparents my parents have repeatedly had to travel to SC in recent weeks. I had to cancel again this afternoon due to my husband being in season for soccer and my mom being 2 hours away. I have been volunteering with NC Coordinated campaign in Greensboro.

I worked for Home Instead as a caregiver in my early 20s while in law school and my peers and now husband spent a lot of time asking me why I chose that job. Caring for older people gave me a lot of perspective on how quickly someone’s whole life could change and how much healthcare reform was needed. It’s been 12 years since I stopped working for Home Instead and I still remember every client I had.

Headquarters seems well set up to watch kids but would depend on ages! Feel free to email them, they are v responsive.
